I started this thread to have a direct discussion about the Plumb Creek trail improvements. Anyone who is wanting to get in on the awesome obstacle building, let us know! Right now it is me, neb, and grendell (Dan, Ben, and Tracy). This coming Saturday (4.11.09) we are going to meet at the trail and figure some stuff out, so you are welcome to meet us there. Right now we are still in the planning phase and we have some pretty solid ideas about what direction we want to go, but you are welcome to show up and put your 2 cents worth into the conversation! A definite time has not been set, but I wil post one when we know it. Dan

Neb, Grendell, and I got out on Saturday and did some scouting at Plumb Creek. Sorry for not posting the time, I just totally forgot to. We got some good ideas flowing and we are another step closer to making PC amazing.

Okay, so time flies way too fast in the Summer.
Plans to build obstacles at Plumb Creek have been on pause most of the season so far due to injuries/surgeries/vacations. At the next trail work night, everyone who shows up can give their input on what we should build. We have good ideas so far, but we are totally open to more.
Trail work will be posted soon at the trail head for Plumb Creek. Our trail boss Mike Schroden (sorry if I butchered the name) agreed that communication is a big obstacle for trail work nights. We are going to post a date and time at the trail head at least a week in advance, so even non-blog-readers can show up.
Nights for trail work will happen when we get the equipment there. However, does anyone have any input on when would be a good night to do trail work? Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays can work for me. I know I can't please everyone, but input is good.
Keep on riding!!

Oh Yeah-- i've got a "Y-bridge" from my work that if it could go to some good use is available. each plank of the "y" is 10ft and constructed of (2) 2x4 runners with pallet wood planks. The planks are less then two feet. If anybodies interested let me know.

Joho - that Y bridge sounds cool. Can't wait to see it.
Mike Schroden, when is the next trail work night? I will try to call you tomorrow to nail down a time. Right now it looks like Thursdays or Sunday nights are good for most of us.

I'm willing to help out with a plumb creek trail work. It is getting pretty over grown. Any night will work for me with enough notice.

The next trail work day is Thursday, July 30th! I know that not everyone can make it out on the same day, but this seemed to work for the majority of people when I was asking around.
Meet at the Plumb Creek/River Bluff trail head at 6:00 p.m! Wear long sleeves, pants, and bug spray. Bring trimmers and weed whips if you have them, otherwise just show up because the club has tools.
I posted signs at the entrance gate, at the beginning of the trail, and at the end of the trail to let people know that there is trail work. Hopefully this will get some people out there that aren't active members of the club.
See you then!

Here are the plans for the double teeter totter that I drew up with Sketchup today. www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=139926&id=591877500&l=d1b58b7337The facebook album that I put them in is public, so just follow the link I pasted and you should be able to see the plans. I will post on here as soon as I know that we can move forward with this and we can plan a work night to put it in. Enjoy! dan

North Loop is definitely a lot smoother since the trail clearing night a couple weeks ago. Awesome. Recently the return bridge\dock from the back loop has a plank thats broken out. Its totally pass-able, but some one could get wrecked on it. Its in the very beginning of the first section of dock.
Wondering to if we could berm some of the corners up on the North Loop? There is the one small berm, but a ton more would be fine by me.

I should be able to get out there to repair the board today, Friday August 14th. I agree the N. Loop is riding well, Plum Creek isn't too bad either! Thanks again to all who helped out at the end of July! Riding is great! ;D

In an effort to keep the message board viable:
Plum Creek work night is tomorrow, April 28th according to the MMCC blog... Being new to the process, is there anything that we need to bring other than what was listed above for last year?
